Maïko Touti Ambiance: Senegal

Join master drummer and dancer Nko Fallou Fall for a taste of African culture right in your own back yard. We will dance Sabar Kuku from Senegal. A mixture of the rhythm Kuku from Guinea and essence from Sabar rhythm an dance.

In class you will learn brief history of dance and rhythm, listen to fundamentals of Sabar drumming, African based movements and characteristics of the dance followed by choreographed dance steps. Accompanied by live drumming, the class will help you understand how the rhythm and dance are closely intertwined. In addition to bettering your African dancing or even if its your first time trying, you are bound to be captured by the BIG energy of master teacher Nko Fallou Fall.
